Each shred is infinity
gathered on the pin head of
existence
her words make up the spaces
in between
This black kiss kills,
it is a reminder of
my failure
to be
what she envisioned
I once was
everything
I was once
at one
with her
and now I am
one more
disappointment
I am drowning in my own regrets
I have become my own regret
This is a standstill that can still destroy me
This is a vacant lot where there are no vacancies
This is atonement for the tone deaf
This is aggression for my regression
as I discuss my disgust of this distinguished distress
This is your black kiss on my paper thin lips
Torn paper love letters shoved in between cushioned expectations
my sentiments are perfumed envelopes ruled by blue lines
broken
like a tattered vision
of my true self.
